About Ginger McBride
Veteran. Teacher. Author. Mom. I've spent 30 years helping people learn, grow, and believe in themselves again — and I put all of that into every book I write.
My Story
I enlisted in the Air Force at 23, served as a medic and EMT until 1995, and came home with a deep belief that education changes everything. I've spent the decades since proving it — in adult ed classrooms, preschools, homeschool co-ops, and online English classrooms around the world.
In 2024, I founded GRDM Publishing, LLC with a mission I've always lived by: inspire, educate, and entertain. I write the books I wish had existed when I was a new teacher, a new homeschool mom, or a new student sitting down with a math textbook that felt impossible.
My educational books come from 30 years of classroom reality — not theory. My romance novels come from a deep belief in second chances, because I've seen enough of life to know that people deserve them. And my HiSet/GED resources come from watching brave adults walk into a room, terrified of math, and walk out holding their diplomas.
I live in Missouri, where I wake up early, write before dawn, and believe absolutely that it's never too late to become who you were meant to be.

Rose Austin is my romance pen name — the part of me that believes deeply in second chances, fierce love, and stories where the hero always shows up when it matters most. Under this name I write the Smoke & Vows firefighter romance series: emotional, clean, military and first-responder stories set in the small town of Fairhill.
Every hero in these pages is built from real ones. Written by a proud United States Air Force veteran, for everyone who ran toward the danger.
