Structured and encouraging cursive practice book
Great job breaking cursive writing into manageable steps with wave, loop, hump, and castle letter families. I liked the 8-week practice plan, the connected letter exercises, and the positive word sections that keep kids engaged without feeling overwhelmed. The pages are clean and easy to follow, and the progression from strokes to full words feels very thoughtfully organized for beginners.
Great structured cursive workbook for beginners
This is a well-organized and easy-to-follow cursive workbook that's perfect for kids learning step by step. I really liked how it groups letters into families and includes an 8-week practice plan, making it simple for parents to guide learning. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a clear, structured approach to learning cursive.
Helpful Lesson Plans
I liked how there is plenty of room for my elementary school student to practice, both by tracing and independently. I also appreciated the lesson plan format. While it is not necessary to follow it, the lesson plans make it easier to know what is a manageable section for my student at one time.
A great resource for parents and teachers
As someone who works closely with homeschooling families, I'm always interested in structured yet practical handwriting resources. This cursive workbook offers clear, consistent practice with plenty of variations to support skill development. I appreciate the small word illustration in the top right corner of each page, it helps reinforce letter recognition. Overall it's a well-designed and solid resource for parents and teachers.
For my younger grandchildren
We got this for my younger grandchildren so they can understand my writing. This is good for practicing your writing skills as well.
Good practice, tricky for some though
I didn't expect a handwriting book to make such a difference, but my child genuinely enjoyed using this one. The clear practice helped build confidence and I noticed real improvement quite quickly. The style is very copperplate Victorian, which looks beautiful but may feel challenging for some children, so that's worth considering. For us, though, it made cursive practice feel encouraging rather than frustrating.
Look for something better
The size of the practice space is great for elementary students. There are many practice pages that tell you to practice a letter or word then the dotted tracing practice for the child is something completely different.
